Dr. May estimates that, in 2027, the water is worth around $2.46 billion. However, under the new MOU (DCIA) between Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec, the Newfoundland and Labrador Treasury will receive roughly $28 million—only about $1 out of every hundred dollars.
